Hit Points & Death
Hit Points (HP) measure how much harm a combatant can survive. At 0 HP, the combatant is dead. Heroes do not pass into a separate dying-state track.
Conditions are separate
Prone and grabbed make a target off-guard; they are not steps toward death. A prone mounted hero who is still alive is knocked from the saddle and can still Command during their turn. Save penalties such as drained follow the Status penalty rules.
A fallen rider
If a mounted hero dies, the mount unlinks. It stays in the battle but takes no further actions on its own. It does not gain an independent turn when its rider dies.
Restoration
Healing amounts and spell effects are listed on their own scrolls. See Healing Potions and the Spell Index for those effects.
