Raise a shield to add its AC bonus. It soaks blows up to its Hardness; once its HP fall to the break value it stops working until repaired. Bucklers give +1; tower shields slow you by 5 ft.
Dragonhide shields and bucklers come in nine colours and two grades: see Dragonhide Gear.
